July | Water Lily & Dragonfly
Otherworldly in its unique cycle of growth, the water lily is also called Nymphea, named for the feminine souls said to inhabit nature in Greek mythology. A symbol of pleasure and peace, the water lily transforms itself from seed pod to full bloom just as the dragonfly exchanges its pupal body for iridescent wings.
Flower & Pollinator Cards
Each month bears a flower to its name, linking history and symbolism with natural beauty as it springs forth from the earth and beckons pollinators to every bloom. In a series of twelve illustrated cards, Donna showcases the bounty of flora available every season, and the solitary creatures who make their arrival possible.
